Influencing Effective Relationship

The ability to build highly effective relationships and influence without authority is a much sought after skill by organisations round the world

This is a new 2-day program that has been designed with the objective to provide participants with a range of specific skills, behaviors and attitudes necessary to create an effective relationship and obtain the desired results without relying on the use of authority.

The first day – Influencing – will focus on identifying and understanding what is influence without authority and analysis of current communication and influence styles for strengths and blind spots. Participants will develop a deeper ability to build rapport and empathy and will be equipped with an expanded toolbox of influencing strategies and applications.

The second day - Effective Relationship - will focus on the DISC model, which provides a common language that people can use to better understand themselves and to adapt their behaviors with others. This can be within a work team, a sales relationship, a leadership position, or other relationships. During the one day training , participants  will learn how to quickly recognize the styles of other people and use the DiSC knowledge to build more effective relationships. Understanding behavioral styles enhances both personal and professional relationships by improving communication skills and reducing conflict.


Course Objectives

The goal of the 2 day program will be to increase the self-awareness and self-effectiveness from a relationship point of view, taking in consideration the different behavioral styles and the correct approach to influence other people.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the tools to use to influence others.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the difference between being Proactive and Reactive.
  • Demonstrate an understanding  on how the circle of concern can hinder our influence.
  • Demonstrate an understanding on how successfully interact with people and  manage objections.
  • Demonstrate an understanding about the Four Styles of Behaviour and explore the general preferences of your Style.
  • Demonstrate an understanding about your strengths and what happens if they are overused.
  • Demonstrate an understanding on how to recognize the styles of other people.
  • Demonstrate an understanding about your behaviour when you are in conflict with others.
  • Demonstrate an understanding on how to adapt your communication to different styles.
